Sea Met

Sea Met is a re-usable self-installing offshore meteorological mast / Lidar monitoring platform for water depths up to 60m that utilises a telescopic lattice and tubular mast structure fixed to a self floating concrete and steel cellular gravity base by means of a universal joint.

Sea Met is fully built and assembled onshore, and then using a standard ocean tug the whole structure is easily deployed and commissioned offshore in a single trip lasting a matter of a few hours thus also mitigating the uncertainties of weather.

Sea Met is readily recovered and redeployed with minimal legacy impact, meaning that instead of using fixed masts that soon become redundant; a single SeaMet can be relocated several times at a fraction of the cost of a new build.

Sea Met is self-powered and will support a wide range of atmospheric, oceanographic or data acquisition instrumentation.
